Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) for AUV and ROV Navigation Long-Range Underwater Velocity and Altitude Sensor

MOQ: 1
Delivery Period: 15days
Payment Method: T/T
Detail Information
Place of Origin
Wuhan Hubei
Model Number
DP-D100B
Product Description

The DP-D100B Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) is a high-precision underwater navigation sensor based on the Doppler acoustic measurement principle. The system measures three-axis velocity relative to the seabed or water column and provides real-time altitude measurement between the transducer array and the seabed.

The DVL can operate independently or integrate with Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) to enable sensor fusion, improving navigation accuracy and reliability for underwater platforms.

Operating at 330 kHz, the DP-D100B offers extended measurement capability for deeper water environments, making it suitable for integration into Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV), and marine robotic systems requiring stable velocity and positioning data.

Key Features

  • 330 kHz Doppler acoustic technology for underwater velocity measurement
  • Real-time three-axis velocity output (X, Y, Z)
  • Bottom-tracking and water-tracking operation modes
  • High-precision seabed altitude measurement up to 170 m
  • Compact and lightweight structure for easy integration
  • RS422 and RS232 communication interfaces
  • PD6 communication protocol compatible with RDI DVL systems
  • Low power consumption for long-duration subsea missions

Advantages

  • Extended altitude measurement range up to 170 m for deeper underwater operations
  • Reliable velocity measurement accuracy better than 4‰ ± 2 mm/s
  • Stable navigation data output for underwater vehicle control systems
  • Flexible integration with inertial navigation systems and subsea control platforms
  • Compact and robust design suitable for marine and subsea environments

Functions

  • Real-time three-axis velocity measurement relative to seabed or water layer
  • Altitude measurement between the transducer array and seabed
  • Navigation data output for underwater vehicle guidance and motion control
  • System self-diagnostic status reporting
  • Velocity and altitude data transmission via RS422 / RS232 interfaces

Applications

The DP-D100B Doppler Velocity Log is designed for underwater navigation and motion sensing in various marine and subsea applications, including:

  • Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) navigation
  • Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) positioning and control
  • Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) navigation support
  • Underwater robotics and subsea inspection systems
  • Oceanographic research equipment
  • Marine surveying and seabed mapping platforms
  • Subsea exploration and underwater engineering operations
