Detail Information
Place of Origin
Wuhan Hubei
Model Number
DP-D500
Product Description

The DP-D500 Doppler Navigation System is a deep-water underwater velocity measurement instrument designed for high-precision subsea navigation. Based on the acoustic Doppler measurement principle, the system measures three-axis velocity relative to the seabed or water layer and provides real-time altitude data between the acoustic array and the seabed.

Operating at a 150 kHz center frequency, the system supports long-range bottom tracking up to 500 m, making it suitable for deep-water navigation tasks. The device can function independently or integrate with inertial navigation systems (INS) for sensor fusion, providing reliable navigation data for complex underwater operations.

The DP-D500 is designed for installation on Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), subsea robotics platforms, and marine survey systems requiring accurate motion measurement and underwater positioning.

Key Features

  • 150 kHz acoustic Doppler technology for long-range velocity measurement
  • Three-axis real-time velocity output (X, Y, Z)
  • Maximum bottom tracking depth up to 500 m
  • Operational depth up to 1000 m (customizable)
  • High-precision altitude measurement relative to seabed
  • Integrated internal data logging for long-duration missions
  • RS422 communication interface for navigation data transmission
  • Reliable subsea operation in harsh marine environments

Advantages

  • Long-range seabed tracking capability suitable for deep-water navigation missions
  • High velocity measurement accuracy ≤2‰ ±2 mm/s under stable seabed conditions
  • Stable navigation data output for underwater vehicle control and positioning
  • Large internal storage capacity supporting ≥312 hours of data recording
  • Robust marine-grade design for subsea exploration and survey operations

Functions

  • Real-time underwater vehicle velocity measurement
  • Seabed altitude measurement between acoustic array and seabed
  • Navigation data transmission via RS422 interface
  • Internal data recording and mission data storage
  • System status monitoring and diagnostic reporting

Applications

The DP-D500 Doppler navigation system is designed for underwater navigation and motion sensing in various deep-sea and subsea applications, including:

  • Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) deep-water navigation
  • Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) positioning and control
  • Subsea robotics and inspection platforms
  • Marine survey and seabed mapping systems
  • Oceanographic research equipment
  • Deep-sea exploration and offshore engineering operations
